I Re-Built My Blog

Published Oct. 21, 2024

Good news! I finally rebuilt my blog πŸ˜€

Here's the other news: I haven't blogged in a while πŸ’€. And I'd like to start again.

About my new blog

First things first: This is my blog. These are my thoughts, opinions, ideas, photos, lessons, and whatever else I wish to post here. I follow the FRO Policy: If you like what I have to say, awesome πŸ˜€. If not, fuck right off πŸ˜€ Go read another website. It's a big internet. No need to worry about me and my opinions. You can't really comment here anyways at the moment as there's no disqus or commenting platform installed (yet).

This is a business / art / advice / me website. Not a trying to appease to every single person on planet earth with their own wrong opinions website. Freedom of speech is a good thing πŸ™‚. This WHOLE WEBSITE is about me, what I offer, what I've done, my accomplishments, my advice, value, etc. and I'm just trying to express and share everything with the world with the limited time I have while I'm still on this earth πŸ™‚

My Intentions with this blog

My intentions with this blog are as follows:

  1. Process and reflect on my life situations to increase my awareness of my situation and comprehension on the things I've been going through and / or learning

  2. Share the lessons I've learned to enhance other people's lives and/or help them avoid my mistakes.

  3. Connect with people who like my stuff πŸ™‚ (note: I love you, and don't be creepy)

  4. Share useful recipes and skill insights I've picked up throughout years and make that knowledge publicly available πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ πŸ– πŸ₯‘πŸ³

  5. Share my struggles and be open and transparent about what I'm doing as I'm building and growing.

  6. Share my story.

There might be more but that's what I got for now.

The Technology This Blog Is Built With

  • Architecture: JAMStack

  • Front-end Framework: Nuxt.js (Nuxt 3)

  • Headless CMS: Storyblok

  • Hosting: Netlify

  • CSS Framework: Tailwind CSS

I use Storyblok to manage the content on my website now. It's a headless CMS that I use with the JAM Stack on my Nuxt.js site (currently Nuxt 3). The Admin link in my footer makes links back to Storyblok so I can easily manage my content. Is it THE BEST headless cms? Meh, maybe not. But as a solo developer I would personally say it's pretty useful! And I'm still getting better with it, so I think it's pretty cool.
